RE: what is your opinion?
Your statement of the condition of the packaging when the kit was at Route 66 is far from accurate. I was also at the event, the box was opened, kit components, hardware and kit packaging material were everywhere. Some items were on the table, in the top of the box and in the bottom of the box under the table. One of the organizer had to hunt for some of the hardware as it wasnt with the rest of the kit.
How was the box damaged? Was it crushed? What exactly was damaged? All your posts point fingers at the sender being at fault but I see no proof. If you have pictures fine but you do not say exactly what the damage is. Who exactly is to blame the shipper or sender? or both? Give the individuals you are dealing with a chance, they are stand up guys and give UPS time to work their process, whats your hurry!.
In regards to calling people out it was you who alluded to it was a kit won at Route 66. If I remember correctly there were about 60 pilots there so it would not be hard to figure out who all is involved. Whinning about it here has done absolutely no good and in my opinion actually slowed down the process. Had you have stayed off line and worked with the individuals one on one this would have come to a faster conclusion. Instead you went looking for some mud to sling and thats what you got. Now, you will just have to wait.
