Default RE: Torch 90 cc new from Brazil

In a conversation with Jim Gorombei at Western Hobbies a few weeks ago I was happy to learn that he had bench run and previewed the engine for the folks at Torch. At this point I do not know if he will be the USA distributor or not. I am just on the Visa backed consuming end of the food chain.
When I asked abut the 90 it was explained that the engine was of high quality, had a nice midrange and turned a TBM wood 27x10 at 6200 rpm. That would make me happy to see for sure and I hope to have the plane maidened in around a week.

Although not the lightest in the large single class it appears that the weight is on par of a 3W. Speaking of 3W my 6 bolt 3W drill jig is an exact match and the NX-26x10 I drilled for my 3W-80 will go on if first.

Compression on the beast is already high with the two ring setup. It has not been run yet and I can only imagine what it might be when the rings (two rings on this baby) seat.
