I emailed Mr Mueller him a while ago before I got my hands on the engine and he was questioning how durable his aluminum material would be on a large gas engine.

It seems that most of his experience has been with glow. Having said that, the guys using his on the 50cc engines with pipe have not reported any failures. I think I will take a chance on the aluminum holding up.
