The freestyle will have trouble hovering on a .46 The plane should balance fine and fly great but the .46 will be at its limit hovering. If you stick the the stock gear which is weak but very light and save weight any way you can the .46 is a possibility for hovering. Try 12x4 or 12.25x3.75 or 11.5x4

I used a .61FX with macs muffler (21.5 oz total) and moved the battery to the tail. The .46 should balance fine. The CG the instructions give is very conservative.

I had a mid-air with mine and another one is on order. Very nice flying plane.
