Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation

That helps a bunch Jeff and Jacklegchris .

I had both planes over at the field today and I was the only one there. I was just doing taxiing with the Twist and got the speed up too fast once and the plane took off on me !!!!
So I just kept it up in the air and flew it around. The only problem I had was the tail wanting to dip on me all the time and the plane would climb. I tried to adjust the elevator trim but I either went the wrong way or not enough. Being a new pilot and flying the plane for the first time(by myself no less) there was alot going on.
Finally I just gave the plane a little down elevator with the stick which made the plane fly alot better and I got the plane onto my approach and landed ok.
It was a pretty nerve wrecking flight [&:] until I got the down elevator into it.
Other than that it flew really well, I was on the low rates and I am not so sure I like the expo(50%) in the sticks. To me when I moved them the plane seemed sluggish. Maybe I will drop the % down some and try it.
I flew the NexStar for the rest of my flights(with my first takeoffs with that too!) and then got the Twist out for some more taxiing practice.
When I got home I readjusted the elevator linkage. I think when I moved everything to lower the throws I didn't adjust the linkage far enough and that was giving me the up elevator that I was experiencing when I first took it up.
But I was happy I flew the T***t today and both planes came home in one piece !!!
