Default RE: Fuel tanks

The Hayes tanks are excellent. They will swell a little. Keep an eye on the front edge where the plastic bends that inside corner. Over time it can develop a small crack. Another option to help the life of the Hayes tanks is to put nylon strapping tape around the tank to help keep it from expanding. The Hayes tanks is what we used before the Tettra tanks became available. They'll work just keep an eye on them.

Hey Ben,

Colorado is my old stomping grounds. I grew up in the area between Denver and Cheyenne, WY. Then attended the U or Wyoming. Do you fly at the Loveair field or the little field behind JAX Surplus?

Its been few years and I don't know if the club behind JAX Surplus is still there or not. I lived in Littleton for many years until about 1995-2003. I used to drive up to Longmont to fly. AI grew up flying models at Jeffco. Fond memories of the area, and lots of modeling friends around there.
