Make sure your cleaner has no ammonia as this will mess up the glue on the monokote causing bubbles.

Not much you can do. As you've seen, a deverter can help, but it's not 100%
4-strokes and gassers are a LOT less messy.
Also the design of the plane can make a difference, One plane may not collect as much as another.
Bottom line, if you don't like to clean oil off your plane, you'll need to go electric or switch hobbies
