I'm doing the Ridge Runner also.
The tail is done except for the doors. Have three Hitec Deluxe HS 425BB servos in the tail for the rud and elev and two more in the factory servo trays for the Robart #160 retractable tail wheel. One for the cable steering and one for the retracting push rod. Using a "Y" harness for the rudder and tail wheel steering.
Two more in each wing for ailerons and flaps and two Hitec Ultra Torque HS 645 MG servos for the main gear retracts.
I would have preferred spending the 100 bucks for the retract servos on the scale replacement gear that Robart is making for this bird but there not ready yet.
What engine are you using? I'm installing a Saito 180 GK with Perry pump. I just ordered the gun detail parts from Top Flite for there GS Mustang to stick on the leading edges of the wing, part # guns001, the dash decal #P51 gd 02 and the antenna #p51 gf35 all for about 10 bucks.
If I decide to install the Robart gear when it becomes available, I'll also install the aluminum wheels.
The plane will be ready for our fun fly on the 27th, the engine has already had two tanks of YS 20-20 through it.
