Default Fliton Element 30 Kit Critique

OK, I got one of the first Element 30 kits out and here are a couple of criticisms. I haven't flown it yet, so take these with a grain of salt.

First the connection between the elevator halves is a piece of balsa which lacks proper torsional rigidity. I had mine together before I noticed how sloppy this is, I'd strongly recommend substituting a piece of carbon fiber tubing. I'm not sure how to fix this once it's together.

Second, the tail gear supplied comes with the wire "premounted" in a short carbon tube ......you drill a hole in the rudder and glue the tube in - the wire in mine wasn't properly glued into the carbon tube so the gear rotates inside the glued carbon tube....I can't get the wire out and I can't "wick" CA into it to get to stop rotating- quite annoying.

Third, the main gear looks good but seems heavy to me- I don't have weights this is just an impression.

Finally, the "exhaust hole" in the fuse bottom is supposed to be precut according to the instructions but it isn't there - perhaps this is a "first run" issue as the factory gets trained up.

I should be able to fly it this weekend and I'll follow up with a flight report.
