I use a Q-tip and cut off one end,,, BUT, I have also just used a long piece of scrap wood also,, OR,, you can glue two pieces of scrap wood together to make like an elbo thing, and you can hit every part of that landing gear block,, it works fabulous..

You can always create a little Shim to put behind the Drivers side engine mount to give it a little right thrust,, but like TimC says you can usually just angle the motor right on the mounts. good luck and let us know how the maiden goes.
