He can definitely drive, and his handles well at 3/4 throttle, it just goes nuts at top speed. It can easily reach speeds of 30 on hot props, stock motors, and 14 cells. Maybe yours is just really going slow and that's why it handles so well. He's running the Novak as well. The boat chine walks because there is no hull in the water to support it, a prop catches, and it flips/rolls/sinks. On the other hand, my Supervee has a MUCH flatter hull which is far more stable in the water. It's a simple matter of physics and hydrodynamics. There's just not much point in trying to make it 30-35MPH fast and having constant crashes when the money can be better spent on a boat that's actually built for speed, not a slower backyard pond/new driver type of boat.
i have also driven it and rolled it and I have 20+ years of boat building and driving, so I'm faily confident that it's the boat and not the driver! ;-)
