They come apart which is kinda cool.
The nice advantage to both the Dean's and the Traxxas connectors is that they protect things from getting plugged in with the wrong polarity. Given, you should never let kids around your expensive RC stuff anyhow, but the extra measure of protection is a bonus. Those powerpoles don't look like they protect you that way.
