I'd expect someone as far out as you are to 1) have enough space to fly locally without issue and 2) have to drive quite a ways to meet up with any clubs or rc groups, for the most part.

As I stated on my post, I am the only heli pilot in my club (7 miles form the house) but If I want to advance my skills, I have to travel.

I bet if we did a poll, half of the RCU users don't have buddies.
I still think is a mistake, Be it shyness, or stubborness, or the fear of crashing in public, nobody should try to learn by themselves. Why do I preach it that much? Becasue that is what I did, I was a pioneer in my country when I bought my first helicopter. I don't wish that to a fellow RCer. When you have help, the learning curve is a lot shallower, and quite possibly cheaper.

Are you going here in chicago? If yes, then I will probably meet you.
What? Am I going to Chicago? Maybe, someday, I try to travel with at least one of my birds whenever I go on vacation.
