FF:

Yes, there is some good stuff out there, but also some problems. Generally, if you use a engine recommended, things will be fine. Unfortunately not always the case. The 73" QQ Yak 54 is a good example. QQ recommended a Elvo 26 for his setup. If you are QQ, its borderlline. The plane is simply wonderful, and recommended. The elvo does have the power to hover and most everyting, but some things are very boarderline. The airframe is go good, its hard to loose it even with the week engine, you learn to fly out of a goof rather than power out, but again, power is limited. Go to the gasser 3D threads and find someone running a small gasser that is working well with a airframe, should be a geed match. The RC Showcase's SDS 140" is a great little motor, so is the Elvo 26 for that matter, but power in these sizes is marginal compaired to glow. Regardlss, I am sure there are good matches out there, I just have not had one myself. My QQ Yak burned from a Lipo problem, but I would have another same combo if cheep. Such a great flyer. You really have to goof up to loose one, and yes I am one of those love power guys. Keep looking, sure there are some great things available. ENJOY
