RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D Part II - Thread Continuation
Long time reader, first time writer
I just wanted to share my story.
I started with a Nextstar, moved to a Flatana (foamy), and then got a Stryker 27C. Something was missing... I needed the smell of Nitro in an aggressive plane.
Next came the research and comparisons that led me to the T---t and this thread (which I've spent months reading; both parts) Any who, I got the T---t 40, O.S. 55AX,12.25x3.75APC, Sullivan tail wheel,3004s ,and so on. All due to the input of everyone here.
Weeks went by on the assembly--Balancing family, job, work on the house, etc. Then the day came, after already breaking in the motor, it was time to maiden at the field last Monday. Awesome! It does fly better than a trainer and doesn't take a football field to land. I just can't get over how fun this plane is. I see why there is so much enthusiasm for it and the size of this thread. Yesterday, while working on the soffit, I left the plane in the yard. I would take 4-8min flights, land, and then go back to work. What a blast.
I want to express my gratitude and thanks to Adam G,Ghee-grose, Downtrodden, Waldopepperaxel(master rebuilder), Dutchalltheway, TimC, 2HI2C, and the many, many others on this thread.
