power source
1st off I am very new to electrics, please excuse my ignorance.
I have two GWS brushed motors (geared) and ran them with a small 5 cell 270 mA and
a GWS Speed control if i recall right its a 25amp, with this setup I thought the power was fairly weak. i was running them on a scratch build profile Bobcat type frame .started off pusher design
and with no pusher props on hand i cut the nose and reshaped the front for balancing as to i placed the motor on the nose for conventional type flight with 11x6 cut cown to 10x6.
i know brushless is the way to go for some major power but where does the power come from
the motor itself / ecs / or battery..?
also Y A F-16 has been stripped and awaiting for turbine I was at the local hobby shop and owner was telling me about this new elc.motor(cant remember what it was) .
it about 2 1/2 '' in diameter and he said its more powerfull and any glow eng. that i had(needless to say at that time he did not know I flew ducted fans) he showed it to me in a r/c truck and when he throttled up it mearly scared the heck out of me, i thought those big rubber tires was going to fly off and hurt someone. it had lots of power still not sure of setup batt/ecs.ect;.. i have many thought of placing one of those in the F-16 with a turbax of dynamax
fan, any thoughts on this would be of great help and apprieciation. thanks in advance.
