Default RE: power source

Dude ... first things first. In EP there are no such things as PUSHER props (man I hope I am right on this!). Its because we can change the direction of the motor. But, for brushed motors, they are meant to turn in one direction more efficiently than when its reversed but it still works.

A GWS400 motor is not really performing on 5 cells, you wanna try at least 6-7 cells again depending on plane and prop.

Power of the brushless comes from an efficient and powerful design of the motor and of course more VOLTs means more power too.

60 sized EDF planes are still expensive, if you got the moolahs to do it then why not. The fan unit, esc, motor will set you back between USD700-USD1,000. Batteries are not cheap and you will want at least 2-3 flight packs. As for RC trucks, they have a geared system so it can create a lot of torque, hence it does not mean the motor is good for EDF.
