Default RE: When is enough enough?

Wow, I'll bet your statement made a few of the chronic malcontents who spend most of their time on this forum, endlessly sniping away at the AMA, while also attempting to portray themselves as some sort of messiahs; break out in a cold sweat!
This forum does have a useful purpose though, as it serves as a "detention hall" or haven, for these disciples of negativity!
Bob, AMA 478

I think this epitomizes the struggle that is taking place now within AMA. The ones doing the bashing and name calling almost always are the one's with the low AMA number, as if they are entitled to have their opinion heard before anyone else. Tiered memberships. If my AMA number is lower than yours my opinion means more than yours.Second class memberships, all at the same price. Here in D5 they have put it into practise.

I have helped found one club and helping another come into existence, all AMA, I am an AMA intro pilot instructor. I am currently buddy cording and teaching to fly several people. I have helped several people solo this year. Many people have joined AMA thru me, yes i promote the hobby AND AMA. What do some of you guys who critisize me for my views do?

AMA has become a slothful organisation that is slow to respond to current trends, technology, and the good ole boys in it are resistant to any change. AMA gives money to clubs without any accountability, has a magazine that is a drain on its finances, and if you have an opinion that is contrary to current dogma, justifies your persecution by DVP's.

AMA is losing membership almost daily. If current trends continue it will reach crisis point in the future. So go ahead all you low number people, bash away, and when your beloved AMA crashes, there won't be too many who will weep.

Edited to add: The above quoted post does not serve to build membership in AMA, promote this wonderful hobby, or expand AMA's influence or representation.
