Default Wouldn't it be nice if.......

I just finished reading up on the FMA Co-Pilot and was thinking about our flight simulators. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a flight sim out there that would let you plug in varriables? Here is an example. If you're flying a stock AXE CP then the sim lets you fly a stock AXE CP. But let's say you add a GY 240 and ESC, then the sim would behave the same as the real AXE CP with the added on upgrades. There are specific limitations to what electronic add-ons or upgrades will behave. I'd imagine it wouldn't be too hard to program these varriables into the sim.
Here's another example: If you are just starting out and your using the plastic blades instead of wood blades on the AXE CP, then why not have the sim behave as though the sim AXE CP is flying with plastic training blades as well. A sim like this would also let you try out upgrades and add-ons before you buy to give you an idea if the add-ons are what you're looking for and worth the investment.
Does this make sense to anyone besides me?
