RE: THE ASSOCIATED RC8 THREAD!
Just thought I add my opinion on the RC8. I do not own one, and I am a huge associated fan. Here in Phoenix Nitro Madness was run this last saturday and sunday. 3 7 minute qualifying heats on saturday and then a 45 minute main on Sunday. Expert buggy and sportsman buggy and truggy were the 3 classes that were run. Anyways, 2 guys ran thier RC8s for the first time this weekend. 1 in sportsman, and 1 in expert. Niether RC8 finished except for the RC8 that ran in the expert class. (He finished one qualifying heat on saturday.) Both cars seemed to be breaking a lot. One had a lot of front end problems (not exactly sure, didnt get a close look) and the other had problems with the rear diff case (broken) as well as some front end problems. I was really considering getting one myself, but after this weekend, I think I will be holding off until the updated version comes out. I will say though, that when they were running, they ran really well. Handle bumps and jumps with no problems! It looks like it can have a ton of potential, just needs some tweaking.
