anything special beyond a firewall modification needed to mount the 480?
No . Just re-drill the 480 backplate into the firewall. I used 10 mm X 3 mm hex bolts into the blind nuts instead of
the supplied 3 mm screws. I also added an extra 3 / 8 " balsa tri stock around the firewall frame at the rear.
Extra support. and weighs nothing.
Set up your starting controls throws to the suggested low as per manual then work your way up.
I am using an APC 11 X 7 for starters . Lots of vertical.
I have been out of planes for a few years . So I forget a few things
What would happen if I tried an APC 12 X 6 or 10 X 8 . Speed and Vertiacal ?
