RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!
Now i am remembering why i set the Blinged CP on the shelf. Crash will testify that i had my fair share of issues with the HDX300 CNC head as will choppers and most of the other band of brothers. Well, it seems I still have not found the problem. New main shaft, new spindle, new bearings and i just can't seem to actually find the source of my wobble in the upper rotor head. Without the blade grips on I get maybe a very slight wobble from side to side in the rotor head itself (almost imperceptable. As soon as I install the blade grips and spool it up it acts like the spindle is bent (blade grips move up and down slightly while the head is turning at about 400RPM) It does smooth out but with the autorotation hub and trued main gear as it spools down it about shakes the heli apart with the added weight of the blades on. Trying to fly it this way creates bent main shafts in about 1 second. So........ I am here to seek the expertise of the collective mind.
None of the CNC parts are bent that I can tell....... I may order a new upper rotor head but really don't want to go that way if i don't have to. There is no physical way to bend the blade grips that I can tell and i actually find it hard to believe that the upper rotor head can also be bent. There isn't enough hours on that head to suggest worn dampeners (O rings) so that is really what has been puzzling me. Bent links? Magical voodoo? Not enough Wild Turkey?? Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.................. ......... CNC............heh
