It's gotta be THE way to go.
i'm sure it's these types of break through that'll revolutionize the pattern planes in future, allowing us to escape from the traditional design, tweeked over decades, to perform with a standard, traditional propellers and their effect on the airframe.
Thats already a thing of the past.

As a side note it's interesting to to where the future's going.
It used to be big $ F3A that drove both model technology and flying forward. Now, its ironically youngsters and cheapo indoor foamies thats showing the way.
Counter rotation, reverse thrust and thrust vectoring are allowing a whole new dimension to how we fly, what manouvers we fly and the airframes that'll perform them.
