Three reasons I can think of.
1 Too lean on the idle screw.
2 Engine is hot and cooking out the fuel after landing. Too lean on the high or timing is too advanced. Not cooling the engine before shut down.
3 Fuel is running back to the tank after shut down. After shut down check for air bubbles in the line at the carb and if present rebuild the carb.
