ok heres the deal
i dont feel like paying $25+ for a 6.0v hump pack for my receiver.
so i went to radio shack and bought a single cell snap pack. (same thing as in your car except it holds one cell instead of 4)
well i connected the housing to my r/c housing, soldered it on in line with the other pos-neg-pos-neg etc.
works like a charm.
my question is for someone with 1800nimh AA batteries and a volt meter.
With one cell on my volt meter i am reading 1.3xx volts.
Connected to my original 4 cell rx pack i am reading 5.5xx volts.
Connected to my new 5 cell rx pack i am reading 6.7xx volts.
can anyone confirm this as being true and normal? Is my brand new(got it at radio shack today) volt meter junk?
Can someone reading the voltage on their batteries?
And if you have a Hump Pack can you read that aswell?
thanks for your help. if this turns out to be normal reading and all looks good, i will post pics and info about turning your regular 4 cell pack into a 5 cell pack for $.99
i did this because i bought 50 nimh batteries and dont want to buy a hump pack
thanks
