Default RE: Wheeeeeeee.......... Blade CP!

ORIGINAL: lookyj

the Esky Belt CP looks good, especially after reading a review the parts are interchangeable with a TREX 450....

here's the link: http://www.electric-rc-helicopter.co...ct/belt-cp.php

tempting.... I'd be interested in how the quality of parts stacks up. Esky definately leads the market in inexpensive replacement parts, but sometimes at the expense of quality... One thing I noticed about the HBK2 compared to the TREX 450 SE was the difference in quality of parts and design. So far, I've been very happy with Align products.

However, in the middle of my current build (TREX 450SA) I've notice a huge difference in quality. Sure, I expected some differences (because we all know you get what you pay for) and at only $199 there has to be some disadvantages. Seems I've found some. I'm only in the swashplate leveling phase of the build and already have 2 busted parts. The first being the landing skid, it was a minor break and able to be CA'ed back together. The second, a very disappointing swashplate. While snapping the control links to the swashplate to check for level, a piece of plastic broke off. Interesting point here, the swashplate from my 450S is still perfectly fine after several crashes... from 17 story falls to failed loop attempts. Good thing I have good supply of salvaged parts!

on the plus side, the wind has finally died down! Some relief with the southern CA Firestorm.....
and a chance for some outside flying!

Here's take 2 with the helmet cam, this time TREX 450SE

I read the review. All it did was confirm my suspicions that it is well worth looking at and maybe a good alternative as the next step. Thanks for the link!!!!It's appreciated. Your flight vid....LOL....I'll bet your neighbors hate your guts. I'm watching Dave "choppersrule" with his LOGO 10. I looked at a .35 nitro heli this summer with option to purchase...the Logo 10 is nearly as big as the .35, and I declined the purchase of the nitro...I'm not ready for that headache. It appears as though you're progressing nicely as a pilot...I remember the CP-Pro vids you shot. Doing good Jer....keep it up eh?
