I think Jay has got it pegged Rick. In such an enclosed area like your garage, there is turbulence acting on the heli from above & ground effect from below. Makes it hard. You can check the pitch if you have a gauge. I seem to remember doing it myself but I may have just though I did. That was some great hovering for the CPP in a tight area.

I too watched the video. What he's asking is what causes it to drop so fast and he's wondering why the heli over-reacts to stick input. Remember, this guy wants plain scale flight and that video is anything but boring...it's a nightmare. I'm suprised he could keep it airborne at all. I suggest his pitch is too shallow and his head speed is WAY to high. I recommend he add 1 turn of pitch and add 1 more weight to each side the flybar to calm this beast down, and he may have a more enjoyable hover experience. My opinion.
