I inherited an 60 FP installed on a old Tower 60 trainer. The motor doesn't seem to have much time on it, however it doesn't run real well. I drilled out the air bleed hole a 64th and that fixed the idle and transition problems. Now I can't get it to run at high speed(in the air) steadly. I has not dead sticked but it studers when flying at high RPMs. I've leaned ,as that what it sounds like it needed. It is running a OS F plug and that has help some and used an idle bar plug with about the same results. It runs so ragged that I swapped it out with my old trusty TT 61 pro. What waste of the TT. I would like to put the FP back in the trainer. Has anyone have any ideas on how to smooth out this old motor? Oh, using 15% all syn fuel. and a 12 x 6 wood zinger and the motor has very good compression.
