Default RE: WillHobby Yak 54 ARF Question

Well, I have it complete and ready for it's maiden.
Even with the 36cc gasser, ignition, ignition battery, throttle servo all mounted on the engine box ( and two RX batteries inside the engine box ) I stll had to add 9oz of lead to the nose.[>:][>:][>:][>:]
It came in at a porky 14lbs 3oz.[&o][:-][&o][:-][&o]
My 87" Yak with a DL-50 is only 2 1/2 lbs. more and that has a full smoke system.
Happy with the plane, but not happy with its weight.
It's not because of the gasser either. You would have to use dead weight to get a nitro motor to balance. The weight off the gasser helped, but still wasn't enough.
