I'm building my first plane in the bedroom. My wife has been really cool about it. My buddy brought up a whole made router table up from my basement that measures 30" x 50". I'm handicap that is why he did it instead of me. Since there is a hole in the middle of it for the router I put a 34" X 40" pice or furniture grade ply on top. It is really flat and makes a great building board. The table is right in front of a large bay window so I get alot of good light and my fav. cat lays in the window wile I work and keeps me company. Thats really great that your son has someone to enjoy building modles with. My father got me into it when I was a little guy. I even have some stuff we built togethr. I'm 38 now and still building.
