RE: The Real Advantage of CPPM??
AutoMike,
I find the world of R/C helicopters much like that of computers - something from 2001 can be like it was from the stone age. But even in 2001 there was a lot of helis starting to sport eCCPM systems. Of course if everyone took what Mike said then as gospel, all developement of eCCPM technology would have ceased because "the lord had spoken".
Fortunately, there was a lot of top level designers (helis and radios) and flyers (Curtis Youngblood for one) who knew better, even back then , so continued to design helis and radios for this type of control system so that we can enjoy the precision of it all today.
I think he may well concede the advantages now, as even Thunder Tiger's new electric helis seem to have gone that root now.
So in answer to the initial question that was asked in October 2007 - Yes, there is definitely an advantage in eCCPM.
