RE: cen funfactor 2-speed shift problem
Here is the weekend report. I re-adjusted the shifting point to 2.5 turns from screwed in all the way. I also verified that the ball/spring were still there. They were. The 2.5 turns out makes the truck much faster on startup now, so I believe that I am finally able to start the truck in 1st gear. But, when I run on a full straight away, when the engine kicks into second gear, the engine totally bogs down at the moment and loses all additional power. Its like when 2nd gear kicks in, the truck will only idle now, and I have no additional throttle available. Does this make sense? Any suggestions? Also, thanks for the info you provided, about , turns in/out, meaning shifting sooner/later. It was good to verify that info. The OS .18 is a much more powerful motor, so I might try adjusting the shift a little bit more. But the 2nd gear engagement engine bogging down has me frustrated. Could it be that my HSN is still set wrong? Too rich perhaps. Or maybe the LSN when 2nd gear kicks in. [&:]
