navav2002: Thanks for all the info, especially the props, gives me a starting point at least. As I think about it I'm leaning toward limiting the plane choices to designs made for rear exhaust engines. Keeping the classical feel for the whole project. If I decide to go any further with pattern I'll look into more modern setups.
