Best Way to Measure Pitch
I am wondering what the best way to measure pitch would be. I use a schluter pitch gauge, levels and flybar lock. First I get the boom level to the ground with a level. Then I use the flybar lock and get that level with the boom. Then I attach my pitch gauge and sometimes eye it with the flybar or I use a level on that.
The problem is that My pitch was suppose to be 10 degrees, but after a crash due to a flame out and several other forced autorotations I find that it is 13 degrees on one blade and 11 1/2 on another. I check my fury and it is the same way, but 13 degrees on both blades. I thought at first that it I took the control horn off on my raptor and put it back wrong, but that wouldn't make sense because my fury is ccpm and it had the same problem.
What I want to know is how you can measure pitch correctly and how you can tell if you messed up. I thought I was running lean, but I had good smoke. I can do all these stunts great stunts on the sim, but I can bearly fly in real life because I can not properly set up my helicopters.
