Default RE: Twist 3D 150 ARF

Well I have alot vested in my Twist's already and dont plan to go out and buy any other 3D plane. I have been told buy many people who come watch me fly mine, that they are beautiful planes. And i have over 35 flights on my 40 Twist and have landed it on bushes and into bushes coming to a dead stop. thinking oh no its toast. Hard landings and it is still in one peice i even landed my twist 40 on its tail. The engine wouldn't pull it out of the hover i was in and still it didnt damage it. seems pretty tough to me. Alot stronger then alot of planes i have flown. But any plane can be damaged if it crashes no matter what it is.

As far as helping each other setup our planes. I have solved my throttle problem a flex cable works great and can be pretty much ran in an configuration through the plane on these gas engines that have the carb outside the fuselage but the throttle spring has to stay connected for the throttle return. I know alot of people say to disconnect the spring on the carb but doing this on a gas engine IMO makes the engine less safe. If the throttle servo happens to malfunction say strip, at least the throttle will go back to an idel state instead of staying open, there isnt that much force working against the servo to worry about it stripping the servo.

So If your looking for a way to connect your throttle on the twist 150 using a gas engine with the carb sticking out the side a Flex cable is a Good way to make it work.

Still wouldnt mind seeing Others Throttle setups with there After market gas engines. Just to see what others have done. Pictures are not hard to take in this digital age we live in so lets see some of them throttle setups i'll post mine as soon as tower gets my throttle cable to me.
