The free downloadable FMS simulator is what I have used for the last 6-7 yrs (I have upgraded to the latest version several times). There is an LT-40 plane available for this sim as a free download from the site rc-sim.de. The LT-40 model for this sim is a pretty darn good trainer as sim models go. The ARF graphics are beautifully reproduced. The .par file that controls the flight charicteristics is pretty good too. I will warn you that the portion of the .par file power settings are a little overpowered, so to get it to fly like a typical LT-40 one must use very little throttle (this is quite common on sim trainer models..so it is to be expected). The roll control is a little sluggish too, as though the aileron throws were set a bit low. This makes it easy to fly smoothly, but it need room in a turn.

In short..it is a great LT-40 for free. I wouldn't be withhout it, but then I think it is wise to collect several trainers and fly them all to get the feel for different flight dynamics. The FMS sim itself is fantastic. I recommend the stock Switzerland scenery for practicing circuits. Even if I purchase other sims, I'll always keep FMS because it has the most planes available (I am getting close to being ready to make my first FMS plane availble for download, the Blanik L-13 sailplane) Enjoy!
