could anybody help?

i am considering buying a hirobo XRB Mini Lama for my first helicopter. I've never even touched a plane or a heli before. I just want somehting that will be simple and easy for me to learn with. Should i buy a simulator before I buy any heli., or should I just teach myself with the mini lama? thanks for any help.
