Default RE: AMSOIL BELRAY ZENOAH NEED THE FACTS

The FACTS are that you can use ANY 2-stroke oil thats designed for an air-cooled engine.

Mix it according to the label on the oil bottle and go fly it. If the bottle says to mix it at 32:1--then thats what you do. That particular oil was designed to work and provide the right protection at that ratio. If the bottle says 50:1--then mix it at 50:1, because that oil was designed to provide protection at that ratio.

Some oils have multiple ratios listed on the bottle. Pick the richest one for break in and the middle one for normal flying.

It's not hard. Some guys just THINK it is.

Do you think your grandpa had Super Duper Synthetic Turbo Prop Twister 2000 oil when he was cutting trees back in 1952? How long did his chainsaw last? You probably still got it out in the garage, and it probably still runs. That was straight "dino" oil from rotten dinosaur corpses and it worked just fine back then.

Even the cheapest black label oil on the bottom shelf at Wal-Mart is 10 times better oil than what was available back then. Trust me--just buy some 2-stroke oil for an air-cooled engine and run it.

Your engine is going to hit the dirt and get busted in half -- looooooooong before you wear it out because of not using $50/quart synthetic oil.

BTW: I sometimes use caps for emphasis. Using all caps for your entire post is considered "yelling" on the internet. It's just a courtesy to use the best punctuation and spelling you can muster. Makes it easier for people to read. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
