Simon,
On Tower Hobbies, I purchased a SuperVee 27 RTR for $140 on the scratch and dent section. After a few glass and stringer repairs and re-installing of the hardware it was a 35mph hull. After a prop change and tons of tuning it GPS'd at 39mph. This was not even close to 700+. It's much closer to the money you guys are spending in total on these NQD hulls.
My first SV27 was purchased at 180 and did not need any work to get going. There's plenty of cheap hobby grade boats to choose from.

Not one to argue over prices of boats available in the U.S.
Over here a sv27 is $700, if i could have one for 2 or even 300 I would not be playing with the boats that I currently have.
Anyway back on topic now guys.
