A trip to your local auto parts store for some mag wheel balancing weights(stick on weights) is worth while, bet you pass one on the way to work any how. Be aware that using some sort of mechanical fastener for wieghts is advisable as fuel exhaust and vibration OFTEN cause the stick ons to fail. get yor thread locker thee to BUT BE SURE to get the kind that comes apart easy NOT the super tough stuff.
Get some # 64 rubber bands at your local office supply store/// 1/4 the price and fresher(sometimes)
3M outdoor double stick tape from wal mart or lowes or anyplace. Velcro from the sewing dept. for holding the foam wrapped parts in the plane.
go ahead and get the iron and heat gun just because its winter and you might have time for a kit ...or for repairs.
get the box of 100 #11 blades (you can get more next decade) having a sharp blade when you need it...priceless
I would get the straight starter without the fancy battery pack ...I have one and the battery is so small it runs out of juice to quick
get a pair of alligator clips and a dry cell battery recharge once a month a cheap 12v charger from wall mart works they have em in the auto dept for motorcycle batteries

When your pot said "IMEDIATLY" I thought maybe your house was on fire! LOL[sm=bananahead.gif]
