No they are not sealed, springs are avaliable instead of diff oil and have the same effect, except, they do wear the spider gears a little faster.

The diff, when shimmed correctly, can handle the power (or so im told on this thread). You may need a rear alloy diff case used in conjunction with the stock plastic cup.
