I can appreciate what 540horses is alluding to, as in my 29 years of flying RC I have had only 5 major crashes, most of which took place in my earlier and mostly self taught days, while acquiring basic flying skills.

On the other hand, my best friend and flying buddy who started flying at about the same time has had numerous crashes for one reason or the other while progressing to being an outstanding aerobatic pilot, who now competes at the Masters and Unlimited levels, while I am absolutely content being a simple weekend sport flier.
