Default RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

Have to play catch up, as I have not checked in lately. Yes there is a half lean problem with the Savage tank and I refuse to go to a smaller tank on my Savage. I have no problem tuning it where it is a little rich when full and just right at half tanks and my temperatures do not very but about 25 degrees.

Yes they have metal spurs for the MT2 as they are they same thing as the Savage and they make them for the Savage as low as 47 tooth. I have never needed a metal one in either my Savage or my MT and I run an OS 18 TZ in my MT and never had a problem with the plastic spur. The plastic spur in my Savage has well over 6 gallons on it. If you have problems with the spurs either you are not setting the mesh properly or your clutch is slipping so bad it is heating up the CB and melting the spur. The biggest problem with metal spur gears is rotating weight is a big HP eater.

I have never had a problem with my spider gears wearing quicker with the diff springs.
