RE: new planes
The flatouts series planes are extremely 3D capable, but they're a bit of a pain to assemble(cough hinge system, controll rods, z-bends, ect.)
The power setup, rimfire 22M-1000 motor, and BL-8 ESC, along with an electrifly 3cell, 640 mah lipo provides about 5-7 minutes of aggressive 3D flying. I have the 22M-1000 motor in a 10.5 oz riot, so it has quite some power. I'm just using an 18 amp ESC, rather than a 9 amp, and an APC 8x3.8 prop on the motor. Power is still very good, and would easily fly a flatout.
I suggest using a 10x3.8 prop, and the 8 amp ESC, and 640, 3 cell lipo. It should be a very good setup. The servos you selected will work fine, as long as they have 15 oz. in. of torque, otherwise, controlls will be a bit slow. I suggest some HS-55's or the S-3110 servos recommended, as they provide good torque.
Just try to build the planes as light as possible, using just enough foam safe CA glue to hold the plane together, rather than pour it into every single glue joint.
Keep us on their flying performance, and how you like them.
