the mini baja is a mini-t pre modified and does not come with lipo or 2.5ghz, it comes with a 27FM sythesized radio and a 1100 mah battery.

barefootdan - what type of terrain do you see yourself on? if just dirt or the street the mini-t/mini baja will be ok. But if grass is on the agenda, you want 4WD for sure..... Even in dirt or on the street 4WD will have better traction.... 2WD trucks tend to spin more without careful throttle modulation....
the mini quake is a bit wider and longer than the mini baja and that helps handling. its also has higher ground clearance. If you plan to jump it at all, go with the mini quake...
if the mini baja is just a modded mini-t then I would think it would go about the same speed, which is 10-15Mph (thats just a guess). The mini quake does about 18mph out of the box, and with a 1200mah battery you get about 10 min run time, but when i replaced my pinion with a 13t pinion my run times jumped up to around 20 min...
