Everyone's quick to lynch the pilot but what did he do? Made a mistake & then took the wrong action to correct it. I'm sure all of you have done that at one time or another (those that say no I would say are being very economical with the truth.) Apart from hitting a bump on take off, and the consequent save, the flight was fine, considering how frightened he must of been from nearly collecting people who should not have been there in the first place.

No mention of all the 'sitting ducks' lined up a couple of metres from the strip like some sort of human safety fence. Was it an organised event? If so who let them stand there?

I remember a video months ago of some Italian (?) idiots flying jets when it was almost dark, but I guess that was ok, everyone on RCU seemed to think THAT was cool. No talk of them being 'pr@tts' or banning them for life. - John.

I was there, the people are not standing on the runway, he did not put the plane on the runway to begin with! The runway is much further out with smooth grass but he stopped it in rough grass, I dont know why, before taxi'ing the plane out to the runway and he has a massive brainfart and takes off where he is... The guy is very stupid...
