I'll fess up to missing two heats, 40 mono and open offshore, at a club race trying to get an engine started. Not long after the no launch sounded for the second missed heat I finally figured out that my starter was still hooked up for my tunnel, ie backwards. From then on, I ALWAYS have two starters at the table, one for tunnels and one for the inboards.
