If you are going to use the Futaba FASST system, check out the test we did with 2.4GHz telemetry with an autopilot system:

The Futaba FASST system never missed a beat, and in fact, the Futaba TX signal tended to overpower the ground station modem for the autopilot and cause the telemetry to miss packets...

Also, if you use the FASST system, it doesn't matter which you turn on first - another benefit of SS technology done right...
