RE: M26SS & LRP
Now I am really disappointed. I just sat down to install the motor mount on my new Dynamite mach 28. Before I started I compared the cylinder sleeve to the stock M26SS engine. What a disappointment, everything is the same except for the intake port. THE DYNAMITE ENGINE IS SMALLER BY ONE MILIMITER… And get this, the Dynamite mach 28 has a bigger carb (go figure). I never clamed to be a rocket scientist but I can see theses engines have a lot in common and the biggest difference is the pretty cooling head that catches everyone’s eye.
So for the most part if you have the ability I think you could perform some porting work on your stock engine and save some money. I am going to try this with my M26SS engine, here is the plan:
-M26SS engine
-Dynamite mach 28 carb
-LRP Porting
I will let you know how it turns out!
NOTE: Please understand that I am not in any way taking a whack at the LRP engine or any other engine mentioned. I am sure I will be very happy with the LRP engine. I am just wondering if porting modifications can be done to a stock engine to make it perform close to the so called power house engines.
