Well I know that most R/C Hobby Shops don't last a long time, and they close down after a short while due to lack of customers. Online sales are now much more popular than before, so hobby shops are suffering.

As for demand, I guess that depends on your area. Is there a track nearby, do you see a lot of people driving R/Cs, etc.

A lot of shops sell skateboards already, and snowboards can only be sold in winter.

You could try setting up the shop, but it will require careful planning and preparation. If there is a local track, you can try making a partnership with them to increase sales.
